After experimenting (again) with Obsidian I came across Forestry.md which describes itself as "Open Source Digital Garden Hosting". I thought it was cool, but then realised that it would be yet another system where I have to fit into its workflow, rather than vice-versa

I've been collecting writing about using AI with the Viable System Model (VSM) in this Are.na collection, and published an essay entitled Governance Is Not a Dashboard. This note is an attempt to work in the open, thinking about how to apply the VSM to build a sustainable business where the "requisite variety" can, in part, be met by AI agents.
…I love stuff like this that can mean different things to different people, and various things to one individual person, depending on the day / their state of mind.

After reading this, I realised that the way I organise my life is a bit like this. Really, it's about boundary-setting with yourself and others.
Sometimes it's about taking things away and setting limits; other times it's about adding something as a different option - for example, my analogue desk gives me a different thing to do in the morning rather than immediately go on a screen.
…This is interesting. I experimented with bitchat when it first came out but now it looks like it's a bit more mature.
It's the kind of app we should all encourage friends and family to install, just in case. More on the Wikipedia page, including a bit of a genealogy of similar apps and how they have been used.
…I love the idea behind this website, which depending on the weather at your location, shows one of Mark Rothko's abstract expressionist paintings.
We've got a couple of Samsung 'The Frame' TVs which I love because they show art when they on standby. Not only that, but they adapt to the lighting conditions and have built in Apple Airplay.
…Although it kinda sounds like the name of a Californian synthwave band, 'Reality Drift' is a useful name for something that we've already seen happening recently:

In a recent note, I included a graphic which mentioned how AuDHD-ers might have perfect pattern recognition but have terrible working memory. I followed that up with another note which discussed a system I used to use of basically "writing everything down in a searchable way".
…I like the idea of this:
Microblogging for an audience of one. The composer, the timeline, the archive — every reflex of the feed, with nobody on the other end. The posts that should have been diary entries finally have somewhere to go.
