There are many signs that middle age is creeping, or has crept, up on you. One is that you start putting your foot up on a chair or something else to put your socks on. Another is that you start showing an interest in birds.
…I had a terrible dream last night where I was supposed to board a plane. I can't remember exactly where to, but it definitely wasn't New Orleans which is the flight I ended up on.
At the last minute, I managed to get off the plane, and ended up back in an airport. However, I couldn't get out because I had someone else's passport - and I didn't have mine.
…I guess this is what I'm trying to do with Substrate - a digital garden ecosystem:
instead of “building an audience,” build a world. build a digital garden-ecosystem, that exists — first and primarily — for itself. a world that doesn’t need likes, traffic, subscribers, or clicks — in order to validate its existence.
