Thistle do
I was having a chat with someone the other day where I casually mentioned that my wife and I used to use a shared task management tool called Astrid. Although we tried a couple of forks after it was open-sourced following the Yahoo! acquisition and closure in 2013, nothing stuck.
I suspect that's because of the rise of chat apps. But there's something useful about a shared to-do list.
So I got my Little Robot Friend to make one called Thistle* in the time it took for us to watch a couple of episodes of a TV show. It's an Android app with notifications (and a widget!) that has pull-to-refresh, syncs using my VPS, and treats shopping lists and other types of tasks slightly differently.
I'm not planning on releasing it. Just tracking what I make (or have made for me).
* Why Thistle? My wife knew without me having to tell her (I'm nothing if not predictable...)
