Doug introduces RACK, a tool enabling users to instruct AI tools on how they work, based on the Viable System Model (VSM). RACK aims to facilitate coordination without surveillance, encouraging decentralised decision-making and organisational sovereignty.

Doug and Tom co-authored an essay for FIELD STATION exploring decision-making in the AI era, using physics metaphors to discuss the role of AI in organisational decisions. They argue that while AI can augment decision-making, it can also reduce an organisation's capacity to decide, and that successful AI integration depends on pre-existing decision-making processes.
