On the road to recovery

Smartwatch showing 24 hours recovery time and 'maintaining' load

Although I still have to be careful, I'm definitely coming out the other side of my Stage 3 ('parasympathetic') Overtraining Syndrome.

The photo at the top of this note shows my Garmin Venu 3 smartwatch with the built in recovery time feature, as well as one I added last week called Training Status showing overall training load.

Although it's slightly fiddly to set up, it worth having. Essentially, you have to add a data field and make sure it's active during the different kinds of workouts you do, then wait seven days for it to calibrate.

Doing 37.5 min 5k runs on the treadmill because I'm keeping my pace to 8km/h doesn't do wonders for my ego, but it is helping me recover.
