What happens when AI fades into the background (like gigabit fibre)?

In 1997 nobody could explain why you would want a gigabit connection, because the honest pitch was that your email would arrive faster, and that wasn’t worth the money. Everything that eventually made the bandwidth worth having hadn’t been built yet. There was no bandwidth to build it for.

Adding creativity to artworks

I follow all kind of weird and wonderful subreddits, including /r/bloomin8 which is a community for a particular brand of colour e-ink canvas. I don't (yet) own one of their products. What's great about this example is that one of their users has thoughtfully added another, smaller, monochrome e-ink displays to mimic a museum display.

Time, difficulty, obscurity, and progressive dependency

I like this as an encouragement to do things. Everyone thinks that the way they see the world is "obvious" but it's very much dependent on everything from your genetics through to your experience and interests.
