Doug reflects on a screening of The People's Emergency Briefing, a film about the climate and nature crisis, and notes that while it raised awareness, it did not adequately address the need for a change in values and mindset. He draws on Jared Diamond's book Collapse to argue that simply adopting new technologies is not enough to solve the problem. Doug suggests that a more effective approach would be to focus on changing the underlying structures and values that drive our behaviour, rather than just trying to raise awareness or implement incremental changes.
