An audience of one
I like the idea of this:
Microblogging for an audience of one. The composer, the timeline, the archive — every reflex of the feed, with nobody on the other end. The posts that should have been diary entries finally have somewhere to go.
It's been a long time – over 15 years – since I used to run a private version of WordPress with the P2 theme to keep track of work stuff. I wrote about it in 2009 although my screenshots don't seem to have made it through to 2026. You can get a flavour of what it looked like here.
We've established that my working memory isn't the best so keeping track of what's going on in my professional and personal life is important. I might either have to give Post Through It a go, spin up a private P2-powered WordPress blog again, or create some kind of AI-powered thing.

Hi Doug, “Post through it” looks interesting, i wonder about where it is stored and longevity. Have you used TiddlyWiki? It might appeal to you, very flexible, a single html file that is a quine (I had to look that up).
Hi John! Yes, I used TiddlyWiki for my thesis, actually, and found it really useful. I want something that I can talk to, though, and which does a bit of auto-synthesis for me...
Ok FWIW, TW folk seem to be delving into ai recently. Bit beyond me, but I’ve seen mentions.
