Hypernormal ambient displays

You have to be in the right frame of mind to watch an Adam Curtis documentary. It's an experience. He has a particular style where text is overlaid on archive footage, stills from which can be seen via the Adam Curtis bot on the Fediverse. I've included an example above.

I love the idea of having an 'ambient display' and may put one in my office. Some days, I can imagine having something like this, other days it might be the weather, or photos of beautiful places.

Pull images and text from are.na channels and combine them into a strangely familiar documentary critique of late capitalism. Good for full-screen ambient displays, or just staring into the void.
