5 ways to improve your folk software

Ideas updated

Just a quick note to say that while all of the tokenmaxxing techbros are talking about 'agentic loops' normal folk like you and me can achieve fantastic results building stuff with LLMs by using these 5 approaches:

  1. Create /catchup and /handoff skills. The first reads from a continually-updated file, the other writes to it.
  2. Tell your little robot friend to use batching, sub-agents, and tdd (test-driven development)
  3. Plan separately to building, and after one model has come up with a plan, convene a virtual product team / council to critique it
  4. Use kin for 'semantic versioning' as well as git
  5. Be intentional about which models you use for various things, get to know them (as Tom advocates)

My setup, for what it's worth is here.
